UP Sour Mash Whisky Essence 32 ml
The same much-loved sour mash flavour, but in a bottle that stretches to two. The 32 ml size is made for anyone who has already learnt that a bottle of whiskey tends to run out sooner than planned – or who fancies one to drink and one to give away.
Flavour Profile
The finished drink is amber-coloured and soft, with aromas of vanilla, toffee sauce and ripe banana. On the palate, brown sugar, corn sweetness and a dry note of charred oak take the lead, rounded off by a lightly sooty sweetness reminiscent of toasted marshmallows. The finish is warm and clean, without a trace of smoke.
How to Use
The essence is mixed with vodka or neutral spirit. The 32 ml bottle makes 2 × 750 ml, in other words 1.5 litres of finished spirit. Follow the instructions on the label.
Serving Suggestions
- In a tumbler with a generous chunk of ice.
- With cola, plenty of ice and a slice of lemon.
- Mixed with apple juice and a cinnamon stick – a surprisingly good autumn drink.
- A few drops of the finished whiskey in chocolate truffles or pecan pie.
